WORKFORCE & TRAINING PROGRAMS

For decades, Emerge Construction Group and our community partners have sponsored training programs to meet the workforce development needs of the construction industry by building self-funded training programs.

EMERGE  CONSTRUCTION GROUP'S 20+ YEAR COMMITMENT TO ADDING  VALUE IN THE COMMUNITIES WE WORK REMAINS TODAY

OUR WORKFORCE TRAINING INITIATIVE FOCUSES ON FIVE VALUE-ADDING PRINCIPLES

  •  DEVELOPMENT OF TRADE SKILLS

  •  ESTABLISHING AND ENHANCING   SAFETY AWARENESS

  •  UPGRADING EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS

  •  IMPLEMENTATION OF BEST PRACTICES   FOR MAXIMUM PRODUCTIVITY

  •  INCREASE KNOWLEDGE FOR   ADVANCEMENT TO LEADERSHIP POSITIONS

"Michael Hopkins gave me my first experience in Project Management. From the moment I met him, my life has changed for the better. His inhuman drive, relentlessness, and overall pace rubbed off on me as I got my feet wet in the construction industry. These traits, coupled with his consistency and devotion as a family man, caused me to seek guidance from Michael as a mentor. I would not be the man I am today had I not met Michael Hopkins. "

“It gives us much joy to witness those who have worked with ECG discover the independence that a career in the construction industry offers.”

ECG's principle is that regardless of experience, individuals should begin to earn a livable wage while learning on the job. ECG promotes a blended training environment that results in a fast-track “earn while you learn” experience.

From the first day, we offer a tutorial of videos and on-site Mentorship. Program participants receive steel-toe boots, a hard hat, a tool belt, a safety vest, gloves, eye protection, and general hand tools and complete the program with CPR and OSHA 30 certifications. Upon completion, individuals take part in Tool Day. The successful participants receive complete tools for their new career field.

We recognize the need to forge partnerships as we look forward to the next 20+ years. Our strategic alliances lend ECG the opportunity to broaden our initiative of placing individuals in the construction industry in an earn-while-you-learn certified pre-apprentice and apprentice program.

With Workforce development as a core value, it is the guiding principle in which we establish our programs to improve the lives of the citizens of our communities. As a corporate member, ECG believes our commitment is to stand with the community as a value-added TEAM partner.
