MICHAEL HOPKINS

As Managing Partner, Michael Hopkins is responsible for business development, contract negotiations, and client relations. He utilizes his 30 years of experience and expertise in construction management to lead ECG’s review of plans, specifications, estimate analysis, evaluation of subcontractor qualifications, and overall company administration. During his career, Hopkins has successfully developed and managed the construction and completion of projects in excess of $580,000,000. 

 

Hopkins graduated from Norfolk State University with degrees in Architecture and Construction Management.

 

He is a dedicated husband and father of two beautiful daughters. When he is not attending his daughter’s swimming, piano, or voice lessons, he enjoys boxing. He is a faithful member of St. Paul's Baptist Church and the Economic Development Ambassador for the Central Virginia African American Chamber of Commerce. He is a USA Boxing Coach and supports Cherry Pick'd and World Champion Boxing.

Elizabeth Baxter PC Alexzendra McDaniels

ELIZABETH Q. BAXTER

PROJECT MANAGER

As a proven leader within our company, Elizabeth’s involvement in a project begins with preconstruction and continues throughout the project’s duration.  As project manager, Baxter provides all contract administration, scheduling, subcontractor and supplier leadership and coordination, cost control, quality control, customer training and orientation and close-out.  Baxter’s proven track record of successful project management has showcased her qualifications in all areas.

Baxter graduated from Mary Baldwin University with a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Marketing, Finance & Entrepreneurship. Her enthusiasm for art is matched only by her passion for field hockey.

Artensia Delbridge

ARTENSIA DELBRIDGE

ACCOUNTING MANAGER

As a key team member, Artensia Delbridge leads and manages ECG’s accounting functions.  She ensures the firm adheres to fiduciary responsible procedures and policies by streamlining accounting and financial systems.  Day-to-day, Delbridge tracks resources, expenditures vs. budgets in real-time and provides guidance necessary to safeguard profitability on a project-by-project basis. She properly aligns the firm's resources through diligent accounts payable and receivable management, implementing reallocation strategies to ensure cash flow management and sound year-end financials. 

Delbridge graduated from ECPI University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Accounting, has a Masters of Accounting Degree (MAcc), and is a member of the (NATP) National Association of Tax Preparers.

KEISHA CUMMINGS

TEAM MANAGER

Originally from Pennsylvania, Cummings first moved to Richmond in 2003 and later worked for the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority for 8 years as a qualified mental health professional at several city schools. After working for RBHA, Cummings taught high school students at Spartan Academy.

From her experience in the school system, Cummings saw a community need and applied her skillset to providing aid and resources where she could. Recently, Cummings started 2Love LLC, a for-profit social enterprise that empowers communities to organize their own events and helps with relief efforts at the grassroots level. MAXIMILIAN J.H. KNIGHT

CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATOR 

Maximilian Knight is responsible for all administrative and general business support functions. He coordinates and oversees ECG’s site and office administrative activities to ensure administrative systems, procedures, and policies are seamlessly accomplished. 
 

He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Minor in Urban Planning. He participates in the American Planning Association (Student Member 2022) and the VCU Alexandrian Society (Officer of Recruiting/ Treasurer 2019-Present). Maximilian enjoys reading, lacrosse, and playing the violin outside of the office.

BASHEER OUMHAND

PRECONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Basheer is responsible for preconstruction services of all ECG projects, including conceptual estimating, competitive bidding, full cost estimates, scoping and sub-work packaging, scheduling, contract negotiations, and purchasing for public and private projects ranging in size from $200K to $50M.

With a 2024 B.S. in Accounting from Virginia State, Basheer’s knowledge and fundamental love for numbers allow him to effectively establish, manage, and control budgets. Over the past 8 years, Basheer has expanded his construction knowledge of means and methods, ensuring estimates have considered key factors.

Basheer enjoys traveling with family, experiencing the great outdoors, and attending festivals with friends and colleagues. He aspires to be a community leader advocating for quality education and has a passion for the development of affordable housing here in his hometown of RVA.

TEIMON PHILIPS

ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

Teimon is a highly experienced Assistant Project   Manager with over 7 years of experience in the construction industry. He has spent many years successfully co-leading and co-managing teams of architects, engineers, technicians, subcontractors, superintendents, and foremen on a diverse array of projects, including retail, recreational, and multi-family residential building types.

 

Teimons’ responsibilities include overseeing ECG’s site supervisory staff. He coordinates site and office activities related to the project’s requirements to ensure successful completion.

Currently, Teimon is an active Board of Directors member for the Project Management Institute Central VA chapter and has obtained a 2022 Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Outside of work, Teimon satisfies his competitive spirit by actively participating in local IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) and USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Association) competitions. Alongside this, he delves into the study of the Japanese language and immerses himself in various cultures to master 4 foreign languages.
